At its heart, Bantam is offering a unique, fresh, and farm forward lunch menu with an international flavour. We are FeastON certified with a strong commitment to using local and Ontario products to create inspiring meals. With a Farm to Table ethos, we use seasonal ingredients and support our farmers and artisan food producers, both within Prince Edward County and Ontario. We are located on the beautiful Closson Chase Vineyard Estate, featuring their award winning wines for you to pair your meal for the full Prince Edward County Wine Country experience!

It is hard to believe we are closing yet another season at our space @clossonchasevineyards! We have 3 days left and are open this Thursday and Friday 11-4pm and Saturday 11-5pm. So if you want one last Hoagie or whatever your favourite menu is, come and see us!

As always, we are offering private dining and catering throughout the winter. So if you need a special meal for an intimate gathering in your home or have something bigger planned just reach out!

Shaved roasted beef on seasoned fingerling potatoes topped with a zippy horseradish cream.

Ontario sourced duck confit served on crostini with rhubarb two ways and finished with micro greens.

Lentil kofta topped with a tahini cream and roasted red pepper. A crowd favourite for veg and meat eaters alike.

Crunchy croustades filled with creamy whipped goat cheese and fresh beetroot.

Shrimp, cherry tomato and parsley skewers drizzled in green dressing.

Fresh tuna tartare served on crostini with pickled and green onion.

Duck confit served on lettuce cups for our gluten free guests!

On Sunday I had the pleasure of helping a lovely crowd celebrate a special birthday in one of the most beautiful homes in the county. The hosts even supplied me with the cutest Sous Chef named Wellington who could reach things on the high shelves for me!

It was a canape brunch followed by a 3 course lunch. The canapes were smoked salmon blinis, goat cheese tarts with maple glazed bacon and pickled devilled eggs with parmesan crisps. Lunch was sweet pea bisque and seared bay scallops, tarragon oil and green onion, pan roasted cod with lemon beurre blanc, braised short ribs with red wine demi and last were espresso brownies with espresso syrup and cinnamon chilli ice cream.

We are getting ready for the season ahead and excited to offer a Cook/Chef position! Bantam is looking for a cook to help with our busy summer season. It is a fun and fast paced environment offering a farm to table menu. We are looking for someone with a passion for food, good people skills and happiest when busy! If you have a passion and flair in the kitchen we want to hear from you!

Schedule:
-weekends, weekdays from 9am for lunch service
-very occasional evenings for events

If you have the following we want to hear from you....
-Safe Food Handling or equivalent
-A self-starter that can work in a fast environment
-A passion and desire to produce excellent food
-Great interpersonal skills
-Have fun and thrive in a busy environment
